Today I'm linking up with my wonderfully talented friend Stephanie from Mrs. D's Corner.  If you don't know Stephanie, you need to go stalk follow her facebook and blog because she is AMAZING!!

I always love sharing what's in my cart before a big sale.  I also LOVE seeing what other teachers have in their carts.  I always find a new resource that I end up adding to my cart as well!

Here is what is in waiting in my cart for the Teachers Are Heros TpT Sale.

I LOVE Educlips!  Here are all of the clipart bundles that I plan on purchasing during the sale.  I can't wait to start creating with these bundles.

A few weeks ago, I attended the TCEA conference in Austin.  I had so much fun and I learned so much!  Today, I wanted to share with you guys my kiddos new favorite app, Tellagami.

What's Tellagami?  Well, it's an app that allows your students to create a short 30 second voice message using an animated character.  This voice message is called a gami.  The best thing is that the app is available for both Apple and Android devices.

The Tellagami Edu is much better to download because it doesn't have any in app purchases.  It's so worth the $4.99 price tag!

My students love to create book talks using Tellagami.  After reading a book, they write down a short script telling why someone else should read their book.  We've also used it to retell stories and recently to present our research facts about different famous people.

Since the clip is a short 30 seconds, it has taught my students that they need to write a script and rehearse what they are going to say before they hit record.  It's great for modeling the importance of revising and editing before the final draft.

This week we read The Rainbow Crow during our legend genre study in reading.  I created a short gami to convince you to read it as well.

The thing that I LOVE most about Tellagami is that it is SO easy to use!

First, you choose your character.  They have two options either a boy or a girl but it gives you the option to change hair color, eye color, and skin color.  My kids love that you can change the character's expressions.  Here are the ones that they pick the most!

It's also super easy to change the background image.  My kids like clicking on the camera and taking a picture of a spot in our classroom.  That way it looks like their character is standing in our classroom!

Lastly, I have my kiddos record their message.  Remember...I have them edit, revise, and rehearse it before they hit the record button.  Recording is super duper simple!  Just click on the back button, click on the green message bubble, and then click on the microphone.  When they are ready to record, they just hit the green record button and read out their message that they rehearsed.

When they finish their gami, they just click on the share button in the bottom left corner and then click the save button.  It saves their gami in your camera roll.  See, I told you it was super easy to use!!!

What else do you think you could use Tellagami for in your classroom?  I would love to hear your ideas too!

Hi y'all!  My name is Stephanie Chambers and my blog is called The Learning Chambers.  I live in Houston but I'm originally from a super small town called Smiley :).  I've also lived in San Marcos.

My husband and I have two super sweet little boys.  Mason is four and will start Pre-K next year....man where does the time go?!?!  Maddox is two years old and really into trains.  Do you see his Percy and Thomas?  He takes them EVERYWHERE!!

I've been teaching for nine years and I've taught Pre-K, First, and Second.  I used to teach with sweet Amanda from Mrs. Richardson's Class.  She is a part of the hop too.  Make sure you check her blog out!

Right now, I teach Second Grade in a Two-Way Dual Language Classroom.  I teach Math and Language Arts in English.  I have a partner that teaches them Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts in Spanish.  I love all 43 of my students!!  I only have 22 or 21 at a time.

I've lived in Houston for seven years now.  I moved here after my husband, Ryan, and I got married in 2008.  After living in a small town, and San Marcos is small in my mind, Houston took some getting use to.  Now, I LOVE Houston.  Here are some things that I love about Houston.

I LOVE that everything is so close to me!  The boys and I can go to the zoo, the aquarium, or even the Children's Museum and it's not a road trip.  The boys' favorite is the zoo.  The Houston Zoo is always growing and expanding and it feels like we see something new each time.

I LOVE the shopping choices.  I live in the Memorial City area and the mall is great.  My husband doesn't like that I shop that much, but hey what girl doesn't?!?!

The last thing that I LOVE about Houston is the TEXANS!!  I love me some Texans Football.  Mainly because of this guy right here....

I totally have a HUGE crush on JJ Watt!  I mean defensive player of the year and he gives so much back to the community.  Watch this and y'all will have a crush on him too!

My favorite current lesson comes from my sweet friend Dianna from Sassy Savvy Simple Teaching.  Her Close Reading Bundles are A-MAY-ZING and so perfect from my second graders.

Right now, they are in LOVE with her February Bundle that has a ton of close reading passages about food.

I LOVE this fact family flower craftivitiy from The Razzle Dazzle Classroom.  My kids and I just started multiplication and division a few weeks ago, and I would love for them to do this craftivity using that.  I think it would be an awesome way to show them related multiplication and division facts.

I have some kids that need some extra help with compound words, so I was tickled pink when I found this pin from Nyla's Crafty Teaching.  I think it would be a great review station, but I would also like to leave out blank ones for the kids to write their own compound words.  I love adding a little bit of rigor and giving kids ownership in creating the stations too!

Just like compound words, some of my kids need extra practice with contractions.  I know they will love this craftivity from  Scholastic Teachers.  I know it will make a great bulletin board display too!

Thanks for stopping by to read about my top 3 February pins!  Make sure you check out this other top pins from some other awesome bloggers and make sure you link up as well!

Today is the first day of a brand new month and that means it's time to link up for Farley's Currently.  It's been super exciting the last few months because I've been posting in time to make the first page of the link up.  Let's hope that continues :).

LISTENING - A few months ago my sister found us a train table and box full of train accessory on Craigslist for FREE.  My youngest son, Maddox, is all about the trains right now.  We even found a train museum at the mall that is open on Saturdays and he loves to go.  One of the trains that we found in the box was a small motorized Percy and he carries that thing around everywhere!  The bad thing was that Percy didn't come with any tracks and so Maddox was just running him on the floor.  On Friday at HEB, I was thrilled to find a set of tracks and a motorized Thomas too.  Both of my boys have been playing with it non-stop.  I'm one happy mommy!

LOVING - I LOVE Jazzercise, but these last few months I have found every excuse not to go.  I'm so ashamed and I've packed on several holiday pounds.  I'm loving that this month Jazzercise has a challenge.  I will need to attend 30 classes in the next 35 days.  My class for today is at 4:10!  I'll be posting some updates and how I'm doing on my Instagram, so make sure you follow me @TheLearningChambers.  Plus, look how cute this tank is!

THINKING - I think the boys and I will go ride the zoo train today!!

WANTING - If we want to ride the train, the weather will need to stay nice.  The news said it would be raining today, but so far it is bright and the sun is out.  I'm so wanting the weather to stay just like it is this morning!

NEEDING - I'll be go to the TCEA conference in Austin on Wednesday - Friday, so I really need to write my sub plans for those three days.  Which leads me to my pageant title....

PAGEANT TITLE -  I wait till the last minute to do everything!  I hope that I'm not alone.  If it wasn't that it would be Queen of Being Fashionably Late or Queen of Leaving Super Long Voice-mail Messages.

Thanks for reading my Currently February!  Now, make sure you head back to Farley's blog to link up with your Currently.
