March Pinterest PIck 3 Linky

Happy March 3rd y'all!  I'm linking up with the wonderful ladies from PAWSitively Teaching and Inspired Owl's Corner for their monthly Pick 3 Pinterest Linky.  I've had so much fun picking out my top 3 pins and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.  Here we go...

I absolutely LOVE this pin from Sturdy for Common Things.  Since March is known for March Madness, how fun would it be to have a tournament of books that the kids vote on.  I know that would encourage so many kids to read more and to enjoy reading!

I'm always looking for fun crafts or hands on centers that help support my instruction.  This month my second graders will be learning about coins, adding groups of coins, and exchanging coins.  I think this would be a great center for practicing those concepts.  Plus it ties in with St. Patrick's Day!

And of course, no March Pinterest Linky would be complete with out sharing a pin related to Dr. Seuss.  I love March because we get to celebrate his wonderful reading legacy that he left behind.  I love this pin from Fun in First.  I love discussing college and their future with my students.  This will be a great way to have them write about where they want to go once they graduate high school.

  5. Every year I forget about the book tournament until it's too late. I need to start now for next year because I think it would be a big hit with my kids if I ever did it.
